Questions about official Collin County criminal records must go to the agency that keeps the requested file. The contact routes below distinguish sheriff and jail material from felony court files, misdemeanor cases, police reports, and state criminal-history products. Collin County Criminal History is privately operated and cannot accept or fulfill a government records request.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private reference site cannot retrieve, change, certify, or remove a record. It also cannot perform an official check or receive an expunction filing.

Need an Official Record?

Use the office that created or filed the Collin County record:

  • Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
  • Felony case files: contact the Collin County District Clerk at 2100 Bloomdale Road in McKinney or call 972-548-4320
  • Class A and B misdemeanor files: contact County Clerk criminal staff for the County Court at Law that handled the case
  • Arrest, booking, jail, and sheriff records: use the Collin County Sheriff's Office at 4300 Community Avenue in McKinney
  • State criminal-history products: use the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division
  • Police incident reports: request the record from the city or agency whose officer wrote it
  • Expunction or nondisclosure filings: contact the District Clerk and follow the court's current filing rules

For Sheriff-created law-enforcement and booking material, contact the Collin County Sheriff's Office Records and Warrants Division, 4300 Community Avenue, McKinney, TX 75071, at 972-547-5133. The detention information line is 972-547-5200. Court records must still go to the correct clerk rather than the Sheriff.
